Ways To Let Go Of Negatives And Add Positives

 

How do you let go of the negatives and reach out for something positive? I want to take a journey with you; in the end, you will reach a transformation.

 

1. Let go of what people think about you.

We all do this. Write this down: “I want to let go of what other people are thinking about me.” Then, replace it with a transformation. Replace it with: “I want to be my genuine self.” Let go of what other people think about you. Instead, build authenticity. In that video, I share how you can use your values, beliefs, ideas, and experiences to nurture your authentic self.

 

2. Let go of comparison.

Everyone has heard this quote: “Comparison is the thief of joy.” When we compare ourselves to others, we lose our smile and our kindness. Life is a journey – we learn and grow each day. Wash yourself of comparison. Instead, replace it with, “I am going to be creative.” Wash the thoughts and ideas of comparison away from you. Step out of the shower and cover yourself with creativity. Let go of anything that you’re not too fond of.

 

3. Let go of perfectionism.

Everything doesn’t need to be right. Do you sometimes find yourself pushing toward the avenue of perfectionism? Let’s adjust that. Push toward loving yourself, giving yourself kindness, and giving yourself self-compassion. When I think about perfectionism, I’m so hard on myself that I can’t breathe. The idea that I can’t breathe means I don’t have self-compassion. If you find yourself struggling with perfectionism, cleanse yourself.

 

Now it’s time for homework.

 

Set the alarm on your phone that goes off every single hour. When the alarm goes off, then it’s time to give yourself self-compassion. Also, it’s an opportunity to get creative with how you will do that. Every hour, think of a new way to practice compassion. If you’re struggling with finding ways to find self-compassion, here are a few ideas:

  • Make a cup of tea
  • Stretch
  • Affirmations
  • Drink water
  • Take a walk
  • Call a friend
  • Hug your loved ones
